San Francisco is famous worldwide as a great place to visit but be prepared. It’s not always sunshine and hot weather. In fact Summer here can be on the cool side and it varies from day to day. A lot depends on the fog. A foggy day in the City can drop the temperature to 50 or 60 degrees fahrenheit in the summertime while surrounding areas may be 10 degrees warmer.

In my near 40 years of living here, I would say that September is the best month to visit for good weather. But that’s not to say other times aren’t good. June and July are great because there are numerous activities (i.e. Street Fairs, Fireworks, Baseball games).
